About Rustic Rehab
My name is Marcia Nolting and I have been a licensed real estate broker for over 26 years in Oregon. Through my career I fell in love with bringing out the potential in houses, eventually becoming a licensed contractor so I could bring my visions to life. My focus is on repurposing and upcycling antiques and salvaged materials into rustic industrial styling for the modern era. I am available for design consultation, home or room remodeling, and custom commissioned pieces. I also am offering classes focused on empowering the average homeowner to do home design upgrades: furniture conversion, tiling, design, and basic construction skills.
I started out myself as the average homeowner, but over the decades I have accumulated skills and expertise beyond the basic DIY that I can share with my clients. Whether you are looking for vision or technique I am able to offer them. The copper kindling bucket you have sitting by the fireplace that has not been used in years; I see a unique industrial master bath sink. Grandma’s Singer sewing machine that has been neglected and collecting dust? It can be transformed into a gorgeous bathroom vanity that will stay in the family for years to come. Sometimes a full tear down and rebuild is needed, but other times careful application of a new backsplash and faux overhead beams turn a space from tragically retro into rustic chic.
