Our beautiful little “barn” in Ferran, France is just 30 minutes outside of the famous Carcassonne Fortress City and was used to house the village sheep back in the day. Our address literally translates to “Barn #3”, which we love!

This charming and custom home has a private pool, wide open floor plan, and many unique touches. This is a special setup with a partially detached home and an attached gite that is all on one property. The main house has 3 sleeping areas and 3 bathrooms all spread over 3 floors. Large cook’s kitchen with gas stove, full-size American fridge, wine cooler, and HUGE island. 

Don’t forget that 30′ terrace that faces the fabulous view of the countryside, mountains, and pool in the backyard.  Programmable thermostats by room and A/C throughout the house. The attic bedroom has an opening skylight.

Attached Gite (by special invitation only) is a very large 1 bedroom/1 bathroom with kitchenette/office and A/C on 1.5 floors! French doors off the gite bedroom leads to a private patio to have your wine and snacks. Main home has a combined washer and dryer.

The property has a nice garden with a sitting area below the pool, an outdoor BBQ cooking area, and is fully fenced.
All this sits just yard from the local Oui Petite Cafe in the center of town which has beer/wine/dinner on Friday nights. This community is welcoming and largely English-speaking with many friendly French inhabitants. 

The South of France in the best of ways. Just 5 minutes from Belvez du Razes for the local grocery, meat shop, bank, and bakery. Stay and hide away in this lovely location or travel anywhere via the trains from Carcassonne. This is our favorite place to be!
